  Gender Based Violence is an act of violence and violation of basic human rights directed against men and women but it affects women and girls disproportionately. These acts of violence include but not limited to: Domestic Violence, Sexual Violence & Harassment and Institutionalised Violence. Christians are not excluded from being perpetrators or victims of these evil acts. While It is very common for perpetrators to manipulate the scriptures to justify their inhumane actions, victims are largely not heard, protected or supported by the church.
